JOB DESCRIPTION
After a $10M restoration and expansion, Le Chateau (www.lechateaubanquets.com) re-opened in the fall of 2017, exclusively for private events. We are seeking motivated individuals to join our banquet waitstaff team as servers where you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests at every social, corporate and nonprofit event, under the leadership of our Maitre D'.

Hours

  • This is an hourly position with the potential of up to 30-40 hours in the peak season (April - November), but we also have events year-round.
  • We can accommodate various work schedules. We have available shifts on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and/or Sundays, usually in the afternoon/evening.
  • Pay range is $15 to $22 per hour, based on experience.
  • A hot meal is provided during each event shift.

    Requirements

    • Prior wait staff or customer service experience in a restaurant, hotel, banquet hall or country club setting is preferred, but not required. We will provide training.
    • Weekend availability required, as well as some holidays.
    • Year-round availability is preferred, but not required.
    • Professional, outgoing and friendly demeanor.
    • Comfortable interacting with event guests and co-workers.
    • Ability to follow direction and move in a fast-paced setting.
    • Ability to walk, bend, stand and lift for up to 8 hours at a time
    • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
    • Reliable transportation is required. WE ARE LOCATED IN SOUTH SALEM, NY (Upper Westchester).

    Position Details

    • Greet and appropriately direct guests upon arrival to event.
    • Responsible for serving, clearing, and/or replenishing food items during cocktail hour.
    • Serve and clear dinner courses in a team setting.
    • Reset ballroom for following function.

We are seeking motivated individuals to join our team as bussers/runners, where you will be responsible for keeping the back of house service areas clean, organized and on-pace throughout each event, under the leadership of our Maitre D'.

    • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
    • Reliable transportation. WE ARE LOCATED IN SOUTH SALEM, NY (Upper Westchester).

    Position Details

    • Work with a team to create a beautiful and elegant event experience for our guests.
    • Keep our cocktail spaces and ballroom cleared and clean.
    • Help to set dining tables.
